It's been nearly a year since our last "holiday mode". Well, in fact, the last time we had a last minute travel was on April 2014 and the reason was to attend a wedding.
These were our first "mini-holidays" with an 11-months-old baby. We chose a place in the country but relatively near from few cities in case we wanted to visit.
We went to Essex to a Country & Golf Club Hotel - although non of us play Golf or even know how to hit the ball!
Forgot to photograph the place; the idea was to relax, to take a break enjoying a spacious, comfortable and luminous bedroom - without worrying about tidying everything up! - where we spent two nights; we took good breakfasts, had super lovely dinners at the Hotel's restaurant and most of all we enjoyed the indoors pool, sauna and jacuzzi.
I almost forgot how great and important is to take a break sometimes, even with all this new situation of carrying a baby everywhere - meaning that we will carry at least three luggages for sudden needs to change clothes, having plenty of toys and all the other necessary artillery for every meal!
Although the weather wasn't very consistent throught these days, we managed to visit the nearest place next to the sea, Clacton-on-Sea and on the next day we spent most of the day at Colchester.
And so we pinned two more places in our map of little adventures.
Bring the next one!
